It's very helpful to receive print requests at least three business days in advance of a deadline. This helps us prioritize and provide excellent support to the SPS academic programs and administrative business units. Also, on occasion, Lewisohn Hall copiers require service and maintenance so this could disrupt our production process. But never fear....We're a resourceful and clever group! Oh by the way - those documents should be attached to your ticket as PDFs.
Hmmm...If you have a very large print job or a special order then it would be great to receive your request at least seven business days in advance of a deadline. Here are a few examples,
- Multiple copies of a document that is more than 50 pages
- Color copies
- Special orders such as bound documents or unique paper/card stock
- What else? We like challenges, and chances are we like you too!
Why the extra four days for the large print jobs? Well these types of large and/or special requests are usually sent to the Columbia University Print Services office for production. An important note to consider: CU Print Services charges fees for orders. So before we finalize the job with their representatives, someone from the Instructional Support team will let you know the estimate and ask for your approval.
